Kindle v iPad
The Apple iPad is a very different animal to the Kindle. The Kindle is purely and simply an ebook reader. The iPad has many more functions . In its own words it is hailed as : “The best way to experience the web, email, photos and video.” In our view if you just want to read books the Kindle would be our first choice.
Kindle display
The Kindle display is superior to the LED display of the iPad. If you read lots of books, newspapers, magazines, and the like we recommend the Kindle. Conversley the iPad is a Jack of all trades , that can multi-task and that you can also use to read books .
You should also be aware of the fact that both Kindle models now have international connectivity and a huge library which the iPad currently does not . Also important is the battery life of the Kindle is approx 4 days without re charging compared to around 10 hours.
Our recommendations
The best deal around right now is the Kindle International 6″ screen version which at $259 is a real bargain . However if you want a bigger memory and the big screen then go for the larger Kindle International DX.
If you are an Apple fan and there are many out there we will bring this to you as soon as possible.
